According to the Catholic News Agency, athletes are not allowed to wear or have any religious symbol during Olympic facilities. This ban is due to security reasons. But, they are trying to strike a balance. Recently, Olympic Charter commented, “no kind of political propaganda, religious or racial hatred is allowed in the Olympic areas."
