Bell and Drum Towers is another worth visiting sight of Beijing. This beautiful tourist destination is posited in the inner city of Beijing. In the year 1272, the magnificent Bell and Drum Towers was built. This astonishingly beautiful artifact is a two-storey building and is made up of wood. Earlier, a huge iron bell was in the Bell Tower. But, later cast bronze bell replaced it. Interestingly, four times in a day the drum positioned in the drum tower is being beaten for fifteen minutes. In earlier times, the purpose of Bell and Drum Towers was to tell time. But, in the year 1924, the magnificent Bell and Drum Towers lost this function.
