For the Beijing Olympics 2008, Fengtai Softball Field is recently being renovated. On 28th July 2006, renovation of Fengtai Softball Field was completed. This huge stadium is mainly comprised of two competition grounds and one training grounds, along with two training fields.
Fengtai Softball Field has also hosted Asian Games held in the year 1990, along with the Women’s Softball World Cup Championships held in the year 1992. In August 2006, this stadium is also used to host XI Women’s Softball Championship.
With the occupancy of 13,000 spectators, Fengtai Softball Field is spread over 15, 570 sq meters. It also comprises of a backup field with the occupancy of 3,500 spectators!
