For the up coming Beijing Olympics 2008, the Laoshan Mountain Bike Course was recently renovated. On May 2006, renovation as well as extending program of the Laoshan Mountain Bike Course was started. This huge project was comprised of competition course, a fixed building, a temporary stand and other temporary facilities for the events to be held during Beijing Olympics 2008.
Post Olympic Games, Laoshan Mountain Bike Course will be used as the Chinese cycling team’s training center. With the occupancy of 2,000 spectators, Laoshan Mountain Bike Course is spread over 6.6 kms in circumference.
